Missouri Mortgage Refinance
Situated between Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa and Kansas, Missouri is home to the world's first skyscraper, Louis Sullivan's Wainwright Building, America's leading brewery, Anheuser-Busch, Mark Twain, Jesse James, and President Harry Truman. St. Louis is significant for the 1904 World's Fair at which ice-cream cones and iced tea were served for the first time. Jazz music is associated with Kansas City, and the state bird is the bluebird. The largest cities are
Saint Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Independence and Columbia.
Despite the fact that Missouri has not seen the widespread effects of foreclosure like other states, it has nonetheless seen increases, as much as four times the numbers of previous decades. What started as an inner-city problem has moved out toward the small towns and suburbs. Hence, various organizations are requesting that a task force be created to collect data and determine the scope of the problem, and ultimately find solutions. As in the case of other states, the biggest numbers of foreclosures are due to sub-prime mortgages and other home loans which are referred to as "exotic loans". Add to the equation increasing unemployment, and now, many people are researching ways to Missouri mortgage refinance.
While the state has not been as quick to formalize legislation tightening the reins on foreclosure, it has, however, taken swift and aggressive action against scammers committing mortgage fraud, and conducting business under the auspices of foreclosure and debt relief agencies. In Missouri, it is illegal to charge upfront fees to help home owners from foreclosure situations. In fact, most people are not helped at all but lose their money, and only worsen their credit ratings. When seeking Missouri mortgage refinance, it is best, and always wise to deal with the lender in conjunction with various accredited agencies within the state or federally appointed bodies. And the attorney general's office has joined other states in investigating lenders who may have foreclosed with dubious documents or rather "procedural defects".
In early 2010, a Missouri Homeownership Preservation Summit was held to bring together elected officials, professionals in the housing industry, community leaders, and non-profit organizations to raise awareness to foreclosure in Missouri in terms of the law, the trends or patterns, and identify solutions that have been successful in the past. For those in need of some form of relief through Missouri mortgage refinance, the official Missouri Homeownership Preservation Network website has listed the organizations that might be able to help. In addition, they have created an online Budget Tool so that home owners can access their own situations.
There are plenty of things to see and do when visiting Missouri, and even more reasons for families to live there.
